Can I just buy the Wakey App for my workforce?

For the Wakey App to achieve its desired outcomes, your workplace will need to undertake a procedural review and the Phase 3 – Workforce Fatigue First Aid training. The procedural review is required to incorporate the RADAR/BSAFE process into the company procedure, which is the procedure that Wakey supports. . The Phase 3 – Workforce Fatigue First Aid training is required to ensure the workforce has the necessary knowledge and understanding of Wakey to use it effectively. It is also recommended that the workforce undertake Phase 2 – Awareness training to ensure they have a baseline level knowledge regarding fatigue and its symptoms, causes and strategies to manage it effectively. If Fatigue Awareness training has been conducted by an alternative provider, a brief knowledge assessment should be considered to ensure your workforce has retained a level of knowledge necessary to effectively manage fatigue.

Can I buy the Wakey App for my individual personal use?

At this time, The Wakey App is exclusively a workplace related safety device. If your workplace uses it as part of their fatigue management system you will have access to it both at work and for personal use.

How long does the Fatigue First Aid Course take to complete?

Figure # (below) outlines the four distinct phases of the Fatigue First Aid program and the time taken to complete each. It is important to note that the individual workforce participants only have to complete phases 2 and 3. Leaders and people managers are require to complete phases 2, 3 and 4.

Are there components of the course that are compulsory?

The compulsory components of the Fatigue First Aid program are to conduct a procedural review and undertake the Phase 3 – Workforce Fatigue First Aid training. There are many factors that influence a workplace’s ability to optimally manage fatigue including leadership, culture, systems and people factors. Each phase of the program, and the order of the program is designed to address one or more of these factors and is dependent on the others to achieve the desired outcome.
